12. Be anxious about nothing... but pray with thanksgiving.
(The only reason to be anxious is if there is some sin in our lives.
But 1 John 1:9 tells us to bring this to God and confess it to Him.
Anxiety destroys our faith and steals the revealed word of God from out of our
hearts / thoughts and poisons our thinking with doubt, fear etc..)

of the Son and of the" Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you.
12. And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust that
to reliable people who are also competent to teach others.
( This is the biblical way of "making living disciples" and it avoids the mistakes made by
inexperienced leaders in the fellowship. The church is ,from a biblical standpoint,
the first place where training should be given. Unfortunately this happens all too
seldom, as a result of which the church suffers from a lack of competent workers.
Training in the church begins from the biblical principle 'When you come together
everyone "has... something to contribute to the worship)"
1Cor 14:26. The one-man's show which we often see is death to the development of
new workers.)
13. Resist the Devil (reject his influence when tempted).

21. As the Father sent Jesus, so Jesus sends you
22. If you ask the Father for something in My name He will give it you
... if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us:
(Praying according to His will means that we first must know His will about what we
are asking. We can know His will by reading the Bible. We must test our requests by
His Word.
Example: If you ask for a new car for your own private purposes, that prayer could very
weil not be heard. But when a missionary or other helper who serves the Lord faithtully
and for whom transport plays a key function in his missionary, then his prayer may well
be heard.
In this lesson you have seen that various blockages, such as sin, doubt, lack of
adequate knowledge can hinder our prayer. But you have also seen possibilities to Iet
God work through you, tor instance by being active in His explicit command to spread
the gospel. God's promise" I shall be with you to the end of the world" rests on His
command to evangelise.)

11. By faith.
12. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
13. An unspiritual person (a person who has not yet been born again by the Holy Spirit).
14. The Spirit of God.
15. So that we should know what God, in His graciousness, has given us.
(Read the question and the answer again. Wouldn't this be a good reason for Satan
to sow confusion among believers about the Holy Spirit and His work?
He does this where there is no assurance about what we have received from God;
or where the Holy Spirit is not given the opportunity to say or do anything outside of
what man thinks; or where people break down and give expression to demons and
emotions, etc.. Satan hates the sure knowledge and assurances which are given to us
by the Holy Spirit. By causing confusion he can cause us to concentrate on wrong
things. He tries to cancel out parts of the scriptures and seeks to explain away other
parts in such a way as to tempt us into sectarianism or extremism.
Wrong interpretations don't always necessarily have to be sin, but deviations from the
Bible result for some in backsliding through spiritual fallure or demonic bondage.
lt is therefore very important to know on a scriptural basis what has been given to us by
God. It is the Holy Spirit who leads us into full knowledge and the whole truth, which
in turn always leads to Jesus Christ. And he who is made free by the Son is free
indeed to serve the Lord in His strength and fullness)
16. Because there is no trust, no love and no knowledge of God in the land.
17. Disobedience, no love for God and crooked dealing.

up.
(In verse 13 you can see that these ministries are also for us today. "...until we all
reach...unity...fullness..." This has not yet been achieved in the church, so the five
God-given ministries in 4:11 are still important for us today.
They offer in their many-sidedness the opportunity to grow to the whole measure of
the fulness of Christ 4:13)
'6. That we grow up to spiritual maturity and stand fast on the foundation of the Bible

(Read this section further and discover that it is about the living teaching of Jesus.
Not just words on paper, but words which create and live because the Holy Spirit
of God is active in the words. Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit and lived in
the conviction and purity which belong to that state.
Ask yourself how your life measures up to these standards. Am I prepared to
accept the discipline and to obey the Father 100%? Another question relates to
Satan. Could he have so twisted the "image of the Father" in our world that man
can't appreciate or even recognise these principles any more?
Here again we see that Satan is a thief and a murderer who distorts the work of
God's Holy Spirit, the life of Jesus in men, and eliminates it where he can.
This is not a game, but spiritual warfare between life and death).
15. Streams of living water
16. The Holy Spirit
17. I am the resurrection and the life

scale. The Bible is always for now, so never out of date as some claim.
The Bible is the only reliable source which we can use to test things by.
Everything will vanish away, but God's word will always remain.).

14. You ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures
(Pleasures of the flesh are called committing adultery with the world (4:4).
It is surety strange if I say that I am living 100% for Jesus and giving everything to
Him, etc, but in the material area of my life I make decisions without stopping to
ask "Do I really need this or that?" Or is this something that my life environment
advertisements, t.v. etc. tries to force on me?
Many prayers are not heard. But just hang on to one promise - Everything that
you ask the Father in accordance with His will and in the name of Jesus He will
give you. The condition is therefore: What is God's will as far as your request is
concerned? You have to ask that first.
The wonderful thing is that God even provides those things which are really
necessary before you ask for them. He really is the Good Shepherd.
He sees what you need )
15. Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the Devil (and the flesh) and he shall flee
from you.
